In the distance, we seem to see an island. We can distinguish, without being sure, wild animals, luxuriant plants, mysterious inhabitants. We imagine making fire and tools, searching for the source, exploring a dark cave.
FATA MORGANA is the new solo exhibition of Anne Brugni, a French illustrator based in Brussels. Alongside her illustration work, she also tries her hand at scenography, ceramics and runs numerous workshops. Anne enjoys creating projects with other artists, musicians, dancers and her various collaborations have led her to publish books, album covers, collections, etc. In Anne Brugni’s approach, everything is a starting point for creativity, exchange and sharing of a practice in order to explore new paths and bring out the unexpected. Based on this spontaneous artistic approach, she decided to use the Room as a territory to create an environment that would then be shown to the public. Considered as the result of a two-week residency, Anne delivers a new series of illustrations, presented in a subtle dialogue with some of her recently produced ceramics.
