The Object of the Internet is a kinetic immersive installation that evokes a tribute consecrated to the end of the web.
The installation projects visitors in a dystopic near- future where the only remaining trace of their presence on the social networks are fleeting, artificially animated reflections of their self. Condemned to the status of sterile egocentrism, these vestigial selfies agitate in the distant void of a possible end of the Internet.
Composed of Etienne Grenier and Simon Laroche, Projet EVA, was born out of a desire to create critical, experimental and transgressive works. Together they produce installations and performances in digital arts since 2003.
